About 20 years ago, the bike racing paddocks of the world essentially closed for the general public. No chatting with racers 20 minutes before they got out there, no autographs at the track, caravans started to become motorhomes and sponsors ate up so much of a rider's time that you couldn't get near them during a racing season.
In the last week an up and comer in the US scene, one Dom Jones, has logged on to KB and said , "Hi".
At the centenary IoM TT we've got a guy with an odds on chance of a podium logging in to give people a bit of a stir and let us know what a ball he's having. No ghost written Blog, this is the actual man, one can tell from the destruction testing he carries on on the communication medium.
Time magazine was right last year, even though I thought it was a dubious claim at best, that thanks to the Internet, us "normal" people were wresting control of our world back from multi-nationals and Governments.
