I was learning about the fine art of motorcyling and doing the usual google thing. I lurked for about two months, but didn't feel like I could join unless I had my own two wheels!

Did my BHS, got my little ol'hornet and badda-bing badda-bang (ok, it's more of an inline noise ) I logged on and realised that here was another outlet for my "ecccentric" (see Big Dog's post about "eccentricity") mode of behaviour.

Lots of things I learnt here that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else and except through experience. I would rather value the wisdom of others since experience can be a costly school!

    Well...

I found this site when I was looking for a bike to buy... I lurked around for a wee bit and then met LB and Hamish at TSS during a basic maintenance course advertised via this site and was encouraged to log on. Been here ever since in varying degrees. I still don't post much but I read heaps...

Wari for me. Back in the day before KB was around Wari and I used to post a lot on www.esportbike.com, an American forum. Wari pm'ed me one day and told me he had been talking to a good mate of his (SpankMe) about creating a NZ bike forum. I signed up within a couple of weeks and have been here ever since...

G4E mentioned it to me many times before I took the plunge....previously computer was only used for work and email - internet forums were woowoo stuff. Still are..
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Speedie when he was Ridemaster for the Red Knights. He organised the ride, we all met up at Papakura Autobahn and then he told us he was going off on a KB ride instead cos they were more fun. He was right.

Was Highlander who introduced me to the site after I was asking if he knew of any groups
that I could go riding with.
One of the best things I've done, meet some great people through this site.

Was sitting at Kopu with Fish and Spud having a few ales when about 30 bikes rolled on up... Asked a dude where they were all from (BlackYoshi) and he said they congregate on this site called KiwiBiker... when I got home I checked it out and never looked back... even met a hot chick on there(and met some great friends) whom I probably never had met if I wasnt on the site ....its a wonderful thing the interweb
