Young Whippersnapper! My Grandy used to use that all the time.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
I get ribbed by my kids when I say "ockydoky"
When was the last time you heard someone say, "We had a gay old time"?
Not me anyway.
How about "thingamebob"
Hoity-toity....little miss fancy pants
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
I know it may be a little off topic but we are speaking of words we use. My son when he was young had heard all about homies. Came home from school and informed us that he was a homo. Poor little bugger.
When his mates were around once, they were about 15, I explained to them what buggered actually meant. They were mortified.
How about, "diddle lee squat" ?

My little bro always cringes when I say 'cool banana'.
Other favourites from youth that seem to not be heard frequently are
hunky dory, bullpaki, choice! Lots more but I'm having a brain freeze moment so will get back to you if any of brilliance are remembered.
I think some things should stay in the past, some names of yester year are definitely a bit uncool/embarrasing to have now days. Fanny, Doris, Gertrude ...
Lusting after 2 wheels over 4 anyday
