Skelstar mentioned this thread to me today. Over beer.

    Mmm. Beer.

I don't think I have the post-switch on-off problem described. Just modating 0 through 5% throttle below ~5000 rpm is iffy.

I've learnt to ride around it. Also, I'd like not to get it fixed because the large amount of engine braking that it generates is actually very useful. I also know it won't ever bite me, it is not severe enough and has such a short duration (Between working 'properly' and switching off) that it has never cause me an issue.

To me, it's a feature, not a bug.

But if you had busted up hands and poor control of your right hand (Ie, post accident) you'd be absolutely fucking infuriated by the behavior.

For all we know, it's to pass some stupid emissions regulation somewhere.

I don't have a problem with my fiddy provided it goes through the start up cycle, eg let the tacho do it's sweep, and the speedo return to zero before pressing the starter button

You'd know if you had it....... bikes fine most of the time esp when cold, but sometimes after a refuel, or drink stop it's impossible to ride slow and smooth. Switch on and off again a few times and it's back to normal. Happened again Saturday before last after I stopped to put a new set of tyres on.

06/07 10r's are slightly on off when engine braking down hills under 5k like that, i think it's the secondary throttles open/closing, if you close it completely then open slightly it ****s a tad, that's on 3 different 10r's and a 6r. i think it's to do with the 2ndarys. zooki sounds like a diff problem but keep 2ndarys in mind working as they sorta should... (****in hate them but when it's rainy i'd probably have to praise them).

And here I was thinking I couldn't ride the bike.

When really, its one of the few occasions where the rider exceeds the ability of the bike?

    Okay, its all I have.

    Sad as it is.
