My bike has got to be in shock
This weekend my bike has been thoroughly spoilt. I did and oil and filter change. Bloody thing would not come off - so screwdriver thru it. Adjusted the chain AND IT GOT A CLEAN. I cannot say I did it all on my own. A "newly retired" gent did most of it - um I mean helped me. lol.
He had lots of fancy cleaning gear! However one valuable thing I learnt was using kerosene on the wheels and other bits. Certainly gets the tar and grunge off. The black bits even got blackened!! There is no where I can clean the bike where I live, be buggered bringing buckets of water down 3 flights of stairs! and the fire hose wont reach - not to mention being a bit harsh on the poor bike.
Then today I bought a proper motorbike cover for it - fantastic! Even comes in its own bag!! Be great for my camping.
Had a good nose around autocheap. Found some metallic blue paint so I thought - that will hide the bog and scratches until I can afford to get it painted. My spraypainting skills could do with improving buy hey - I reckon it looks pretty good - well better than pink bog!!
Bought some rainex - which is fantastic on the visor - when it rains just dip your head and it all clears off!! Better than smearing it off with my glove.
So I'm all set to go to Turangi on the weekend.
Exciting stuff ay - Well it was for me!! I know I need a life! lol.
