I'm being cheap and I'm trying to avoid another air fare. I'm flying up on the day before.

I could be pillion if your bike is big and comfy. For I am also.. big and comfy.. Ie. I wouldn't fit on the back of my own bike.

I do sorta need to come back on the 9th, but I could perhaps do the 10th also.

Seeing as you are going one way, why not treat yourself to a new experience and catch the train - see the contryside from quite a different angle - like the Raurimu Spiral and that viaduct thru National Park....

(unless of course you have already done it - but everybody should do it once)

No, I'm just flying up on Friday, and want a cheap trip down. Yes, I have considered the train. They does get me into wellington too late though, but I could wrangle things.

Try contacting the frieght companies i:e freightlines they do AKLD to WGTN direct could be fun seeing the road from a truckies point of view
