Or, failing that, and if the population is low, we could always do a semi-coro loop, stopping off at whangamata, I can steal some *ahem* bach keys, provided people take their shoes off and whatnot. Can be a good stopping point for tea/coffee before heading back.

Might be a tad long though, and some sore arses along the way, including mine!

Ah screw Donor! We'll just ride off into the wild blue yonder, pootling to gosh knows where - filling up at dodgy servos where the locals play banjoes and drink moonshine out of clay jugs.

Dodging ninja ducks, racing through insect swarms, tabbing through cowpoo on the tarmac and avoiding the dreaded charges of killers in cages!

Oh tragedy indeed! Just found this thread, got all enthused, and now this...sigh. I do need to get to Auckland to pick up my sad little abandoned GN which is sitting in MIL's garage, thinking it's been forgotten. It hasn't. A couple of times I've decided to go for a blat and then remembered my bike is 360k away. Doh. And now the famous Ohakune chocolate eclair shop is open again for the season it's getting imperative to get my wheels down here so I can have a perfect excuse for a little ride.....heh heh heh. When I do have a date for picking it up, to ride back, I'll start a thread, just in case anyone wants to tag along. Who knows, GI Joe might have a couple of hours without students and feel like a 700k round trip for a Clowns cafe pie....
