    Jacket sizes?

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster here.

I'm having a little trouble with jacket sizes, since I'm a retail minimum wage slave I've been getting my gear off trademe, so I can't try them on before hand.

I originally bought a size L orina jacket, after trying on a loose, but comfortable XL in a shop - only to find that this one is too big; the shoulder pads hang off my upper arm. Since then I've got a mobig jacket - size M, and this one is too small, the length is too short and the cuffs almost feel like they're restricting my circulation.

Is this just a matter of brand/size difference? or am I just SOL being an in-between size?

I've found different brands have different sizing, you may just have to try them on for size/fit and comfortableness (not a word, I know, but pfft), especially when dealing with armour around sholders and elbows.

    Welcome,

I agree with the above. If you find one for sale on TM, find the same one (same size too) in a shop and try it on. There are differences in sizes between brands.

I agree totally. Depending on the jacket I go from an M to a Who ate all the pies

    Hiya Felix,
    Welcome aboard.
If you are looking to get stuff off Tardme, ask the seller to put measurements up, easiest ones to get are height and weight.

    good luck with that

Thanks for the tips thus far, I have decided to keep the Orina for now, and sell the Mobig, mainly due to its movement limitations, so If anyone in Wellington needs a near-new condition Med size Jacket for under a hundy, let me know!

From anyones experience, whats a nice armoured jacket that doesn't look too bad if it's the warmest thing you've got? I like the look of the RJays stuff, but it never seems to be quite in my budget range...
