    Arai records ninth year as highest ranked helmet maker in JD Power survey

    Arai has recorded the highest customer satisfaction rating amongst helmet makers for a ninth consecutive year, in the annual JD Power survey.

    The study measures 11 key areas: quietness; ventilation/air flow; de- fogging; face shield ability to keep wind out; face shield ability to resist scratching; ease of replacing face shield; scratch resistance of shell; colour/graphic design; weight; ease of fastening the strap; and fit/comfort. Arai recorded 808 out of 1,000 points, with Shoei close behind on 803 points and Scorpion third with 786 points.

    I used to fix his bike ,, a few years ago , had three of them , triumph tiger , Sr 400 with a 600 top end ,, hope the son is running the company , cause he was a nut ,,

    Ah! But ofcourse! Iwould'nt say the visor was that easy to put on,take off yes but not put on. Graphics are best on Shoei's too but Arai are getting much better.

    Arai and Shoei are great helmets and have been at the top for years now, but other companies are catching up. Technology is good

    I love mine!!! Have figured out the nack of getting the visor on and off, pretty easy when you know how, I can do it faster than my hubby can get his Shoei visor on and off. Love the graphics on mine too.

    Really? Coz I understand Shoei's quick and easy, Isaw a salesman do it in a shop once and looked really easy. I just find putting my visor back on fiddly, specially the new one.

    Shoei is probably easier, but the Arai, once you have the knack, is just as easy, you just need to get the angle right and not be afraid to break it!
