    Crash bungs

I know a few people who have made their own crash bungs (paul etc)

does anyone know a good place in wellington or the hutt to buy the nylon or plastic tubing for these?

also thickness of tubing or type of material?

a few people have told me a couple places but cant find them in the phone book.

    thanks

I'm lolling around before bed, nothing else to do except watch the posts pop up on KBspy. Don't know where to get the proper plastic knobs sorry, but skateboard wheels do the same, just sand off the brand-name.

You will have to allow for longer bolts for thickness of bung,my tls uses engine mount bolt so bolt supplied with crash bungs were 30-40mm longer than standard bolt from memory.

    Contact Sixpackback.

He got me some Nylotrol (sp?) rod to make some. After I made then I had comments that they looked better than the oggy knobs on the bike parked next to mine. Oh and they stood up to a high side through turn 1 taupo. Can send you some pics if you want?

You want to talk to SixPackBack about materials, he knows his shit. A lot of the cheaper materials are brittle etc so won't do any good.
