    Any surveyors out there?

We sold a house in Auckland, and one of the lawyers involved pointed out we didn't get the site surveyed after some work was done (often not done, but it's a cross lease and they want to cover their arse etc etc etc).

Anyone out there in KB land with the skills to do this? What price (500m2 section, reasonably simple house/shed layout on it).

Anyone qualified able to do this as a sideline job (i.e. you get paid the whole fee, not your employer taking 1/2 the cut). It might be worth me flying you up from Wgtn or Chch, and throwing in a night on the piss if that's what it takes.

    Thoughts?

    Takers?
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details

You can fly me up for a night on the piss... Dunno nuffing about surveying though
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I'm a surveyor and live in Auckland

    Send me a PM

Lawyer is only keeping things correct. Basically if the title doesn't match whats on the ground then technically its a defective title. Just a word of advice to you guys out there, this is a pitfall of crossleases if you like renovating homes. Any changes to a property in a cross lease situation requires the consent of the other owners, and when you come to sell a smart lawyer will notice a change in the building footprint and the purchaser can use this as a negotiating tool.

For fees within Auckland City Council are around $300 lodgement fee, once they sign it off then you'll be looking at $3-400 LINZ fees to generate new titles (these are fixed fees and no way to avoid them), plus some lawyers fees, plus my time.

Speaking of which I'm just heading out the door now to do one in between showers
