+$1 million for logo (with dodgy Lisa Simpson connotations)

400,000 pooonds and a year to design the logo for the London Olympics.

Riffer could have done this in 10min* for $150.

2012 Olympic logo "looks like Lisa Simpson giving head"

I didn't notice this first time... but as soon as someone said this to me, I had another look... and it does!

    Words... fail... me.... ngh.

At least none of you guys paid tax towards the abomination. I've seen better things designed in crayon by the certifiably insane, and at least they can claim the excuse that they were on mind bending psychotropic drugs at the time.
Ah. I do believe I may have hit on something. Perhaps they spent the advance down Charing Cross Road on a huge bag of crack?

    LOL.

Are you suggesting I'm some kind of cheap design whore?

Seriously though, is the $1M for research, concept and design?

Or are we talking the equivalent of the Te Papa Tongarewa fiasco, where it was reported that the design of the thumbprint logo was $250,000, when the actual cost actually included full implementation of the entire brand identity, stationery, signage, etc?

Thanks for the ups though Dave.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

At first glance I thought it was hideous but now I don't think its too bad. Especially when you compare it to some of the past logos.

Yeah, but NOTHING's your cup of tea Paul.

You're the only bloke I know that can repeatedly walk through a bike shop and walk out saying "Nope, nothing in there I like"
