Good thing too, it looks like we're going to need them.

Even better is the economic impact of a win, and subsequent defence of the America's Cup. A half billion dollars comes from overseas and the vast majority of it stays in Auckland (you lucky lucky jafa's).

Yes, a lot of truth in what you say Dave....But!

He who pays the piper calls the tune.....I don't like the government's music! Usually playing all the right songs for all the wrong reasons! John.

The sailing team is led by three-time America’s Cup winner, Brad Butterworth, Alinghi’s skipper, vice-president and legendary tactician. Butterworth can count on many top sailors including Peter Holmberg, Ed Baird, Juan Vila, Jordi Calafat, Warwick Fleury, Simon Daubney, and Murray Jones to name just a few of the outstanding members of Alinghi. Plus three-time Olympic Gold medalist, Jochen Schuemann, is the sports director for the sailing team.

That's from Alinghi's website. But who knows with the America's cup. The could bring Couttes in at the last minute. I think he's still on the payroll I think or under some contract of some kind. That's why no one else has got him. He's pissed someone off pretty bad.
