All respect to Debbie Gerber. She had no personal gain or agenda which is exactly why she wished for anonymity. Saying she tried to "play the media" is not fair imo. Why - for what - she had nothing to gain.

The piece written about her by the evil paparrazzi who tried to blackmail her, before revealing her identity was the worst piece of trash I've seen in my life of news reading. That's really ALL that a genuine victim needs.

That journalist has destroyed a family and I curse him and hope he reaps karma. Condolences to her partner and kids.

No more abuse for Debbie. RIP Debbie.
Mainstream media......look around and see what I have to say about gutter journalism elsewhere. They have no freakin' morals, do/say anything to get a headline just to sell papers. I read the Herald about twice a year for that very reason and even then I only look at the pictures.

    Karma? We live in hope.

Yeah, right. Still involved in the swinging and BDSM scenes and advertising for such on the interweb. Her current partner/husband has just been allowed to return to ambo-driving duties following an investigation into his behaviour. Luckily for some KB'ers it appears that ambo drivers are allowed to do what they want with their private lives....

    journos

i thought the interview was in confidence then her name was leaked by journo.the cops may not have killed her directly, but they sure as well had an influence in it,as said what did she have to gain, all it did was reafirm our thoughts that shipton and co are tossers with no respect for ladies, love to see shipton and co have the crap kicked outer em,failing that how would they feel if their wives died without suspicion.hope her family are coping at this time of sorrow.

Regardless of right or wrong, the reality is that this woman took her life. Regardless of the person she was perceived to be, by her detractors or supporters, she felt badly enough to take her life. And that is sad.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Pause for thought. But still we can't judge as media is not gospel. Could have been old web info. Could be the woman still had issues and was involved in the scene but not happy about it - I do recall part of her decision to speak out was due to her currently being in counseling. Which could support that.

I think it is better to focus on her qualities than any weaknesses or sordid aspects of her life. We would not be doing that if she was a he - we'd hear what a great mate he was etc.

Fact remains - media picked on someone unnecessarily fully aware it could have serious effects on her mental health. I think I could be tipped by such a newspaper article as that vile one if I was her. As I said it sickened me, and many wrote to the paper saying they'd never buy it again.

This was definitely worse than the power company issue. Malice aforethought
