Hmm ,Only had one standing 1/4 run, managed to duff it by moving forward then stopping for a second or so , then gave it heaps and hold on baby . Crap time but a ton of fun. Duc's making more power this year (ya motormart) so I'm hoping for a few more kms on the flying 1/4 .
Perhaps some of the spectators that weren't sure last year should have a go .(EddieB & Partner , Monster Lynda)

Yep, it is definitely MNZ sanctioned, with a permit and everything. They've run about 4 of these previously.

Yep, it'll be a weekend of bikes bikes bikes with Manfeild the day before.

    No he doesn't.

Mine was reading 283kph last year. Actual average speed? 261.5kph.

Speedos are horribly inaccurate at those speeds. In saying that, my Gixxer six was the fastest 600 there by a long shot. Also went faster than Jimbo's 750 in the standing 1/4,

Yeah but it wasn't carrying a very heady load WT.

I'd have a go in mine but its seriously handicapped by my 95kg bulk
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

most i've had on my speedo was 257 at pukekohe and I could still feel it pulling - only problem was that I was just starting to run out of room! I'd love to get it going flat tack as well as try some 1/4 mile stuff (at least while the clutch is under warranty!).... oops, did I say that?

You'd think someone would get sorted and block off Tram rd once or twice a year.

na... but if only we could use Wigram, good run up from the south end and then the full length of the runway
There used to be car/bike racing there years ago (damn long straight on a MVX when you only have 3 pistons) but due to land claims and leases etc it was stoped

As for the N/I flying 1/4 two weeks ago a mate leant me his Hayabussa for a track day at Ruapuna...... wounder if he'll let me borrow it for the 1/4..... had it up to 270kph would love to bust the 3 hundie mark, would only need to do it once
    cheers DD

WT you certainly did well on the 600.

Was this you I caught on camera? - not a good close up so I've bought a better camera now.

Furkin hell are you still wanking on about that. Of course my bike will be slower on the acceleration front on account of my massive cock slowing things up. I'll be there in Sept on my push bike.
