DEATH REPORT: Ms Gerbrich was found dead yesterday in her Tauranga home, Radio Live has reported.

BREAKING NEWS: The woman who made a home video of a group sex session allegedly involving a former policeman and two other men has been found dead in her Tauranga home.

Debbie Gerbich, 37, released the video, which allegedly involved convicted rapist and former policeman Brad Shipton, to the Sunday News in March.

Radio Live said today that Ms Gerbich was found dead in Tauranga yesterday.

Detective Greg Turner of Tauranga police told NZPA he could confirm police were investigating the death of a woman in the Tauranga suburb of Greerton early yesterday morning.

He said the death was not suspicious, and the matter would be referred to the coroner.

The Sunday News ran a series of articles detailing claims from a woman known only as Mary who claimed she had group sex sessions involving Shipton as recently as 2002.

A home video obtained by the paper purportedly revealed Shipton and two other ex-cops indulging in consensual group sex with Mary.

She was said to be devastated after her name was subsequently published by another newspaper.

The Police have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances, however they are seeking a Mr. C. Rickards, whose wallet, truncheon and lubricant were found at the scene.

It was never about consent or rape. Just about revolting exploitation of an atractive woman by her Cop partner and low down scum mates.

Her point was that these guys were not respectors of women or the pillars of the community they made out to be. And it was valid, and it showed solidarity for the victims who had not got justice in court.

All respect to Debbie Gerber. She had no personal gain or agenda which is exactly why she wished for anonymity. Saying she tried to "play the media" is not fair imo. Why - for what - she had nothing to gain.

The piece written about her by the evil paparrazzi who tried to blackmail her, before revealing her identity was the worst piece of trash I've seen in my life of news reading. That's really ALL that a genuine victim needs.

That journalist has destroyed a family and I curse him and hope he reaps karma. Condolences to her partner and kids.

No more abuse for Debbie. RIP Debbie.
