Only because they were track tyres... dam grippy on my GSXR750. Went back to factory tyres for the GSXR1000 and really noticed a difference.

Mind you, after looking at www.ride2die.com this morning, I am a little put off!!

Just a question to the racers out there.... do most crashes in your opinion happen when the front tyre turns in or is the back tyres doing the business? Just seen a lot of pics and racing lately where the front tyre seems to almost turn in and the bike goes over.

Thats a BIG subject - as theres a bunch of stuff going on with bike, rider, track, our outside influence or a mix of any of these that can cause either drama

Currently use Pirellis but would like to use Conti's but they don't bring in 160/60s at the moment I believe - although this is changing isn't it Jay?

Oh, and I want to use Conti's because Jay uses them...

I prefer Dunlops because of the turn-in, grip and feel, though stability is a bit of an issue, but often run Pirelli's because I can get 'em cheap....

i run michelins right now... but i know nothing about tyres.....
but they grip and havent given my any scary moments so far... even stuck like glue at VMCC RD1 where everyone was sliding, i managed a PB. but as i said, i know nothing....
heard good things about dunlop wets so will give them a try no doubt this winter at VMCC at some stage....
but tyres are very bike/rider/surface/weather dependant so bit hard to comment generally ay...
