    All those VT250's were known for is an unreliable crank, that means it could last forever, or may not last 10km. I wouldnt be worried about it. All bikes have there problems. My bike at the moment, an FZR400, has reasonably weak inlet valves.

    yea $30 off trademe, pretty complete but only really good for parts

    from what i can see it seems useable, tho the clutch is fairly stuffed

    Well thats sweet, if it runs then you have a spare crank, if your bike blows the crank just swap the clutch from your original engine to the one with the shagged clutch and you are home free. Good stuff.

    thats the idea, not to mention the near full spare set of fairings i now have
