    Given the amount of info on the net, that should be a clue. If it is earthing out incorrectly, the next warning that your electrical system is amiss might be when you get stranded in the middle of nowhere with what looks to be an ignition failure Tread carefully, electrics are funny, and earthing faults are 90% of auto electrical faults from what I've seen. Even if you do nothing else, make sure all your earth straps are clean and shiney at both ends, your battery is charged with clean tight terminals, and that your light bulb holders are gunged up with rust or whatever.

    I'd take points and condensors over 80's Suzuki CDI's & stators any day of any week.
    If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
