    What's in the name?

Got a dilema, so to speak.

It's common knowledge now that through Shaun and Moto Dynamix, I've been given a great opportunity to kickstart my racing career. This is absolutley farkin fantastic and I'm happier than a pig in shit.

Over the past 3 or 4 years, I've built a (mostly good) reputation as "White trash" and this is how alot of people know me. The name suits my persona and I've had alot of fun being "White trash".

Here's my question though, is it a professional image to portray as a bike racer? Especially on the world stage, should I prove to have the talent to go that far?

What'd ya reckon, time to grow up and become Jimmy Mair or is there nothing wrong with being Trashy?

They all have nick names, and I think White Trash could generate a bit of free publicity......though don't know how certain sponsors would feel....

Colin Edwards is White Trash too man.

Depends where you're going to race after you blitz the NZ champs. US or UK? Steriogram have a bigger profile in the US, so playing "White Trash" instead of the NZ anthem would go down really well there.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

When you enter for races do you put your name down as White Trash or Jimmy Mair? The thing is that you could be called whatever you like by your peers by professionally speaking when your sign your name on the dotted line you sign J Mair. No dilemma - you are who you is.

In KB circles you may be known and loved as White Trash. Most of us (the ones that matter anyway) also know you as Jimmy (or James, when you've been a bit naughty). Col is right - keep the status quo. You don't sign on as WT when racing, do you?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

No matter what you decide people on here will still refer to you as White Trash, nothing wrong with it

It's hard to imagine a grown up and serious Trashy to be honest.

Stick with the iconic legend that is 'White Trash', and even when you hit the world stage, you could always hit up a big corporate 'Waste Management' or similar company for sponsorship. That would be appropriate wouldn't it ?

Jimmy, I don't care what you call yourself as long as you kick arse.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Question is - do YOU feel comfortable with the nickname?

I like it, but I'm not one for political correctness.

    Go WT!
