Search engine issues

I have been having some issues when using any search engine (google/yahoo etc). when i search a word/phrase, it brings back what i want, but when i try to view the resulting searched page, i get a 'redirect' then 'jump' in the address bar, then redirected to a ferrit-type web page.

tried clearing history/cookies etc, no avail.

any ideas?

my guess is you have some adware. Download Adaware and give it a scan, it might help. http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-200...bj=dl&tag=top5
