    Tips for catching mice please!

    Hi all,

I have a home in the country, resided in by me... Toaster... and my two burmese cats (both sitting on my knee as I type). As spoiled well fed upper-class snobs, they don't worry themselves with chores such as catching and ridding our home of field-mice.... which means wees and poos from mice on my new carpet and goodness only knows where else.

Oh, they bring them home to show me then let them go, bat them around a bit then leave them to eat the TV and computer cables. I caught one at 2am the night before but saw another race by at 6am this morning with a cat in hot pursuit. I turned the house upside down trying to catch the little terror but to no avail. I think this little bugger is inside the piano!

They seem to ignore the mouse trap.... tried cheese and peanut butter, but they don't even bite.

Do any of you have really effective ways to catch and kill hard to find, sneaky little mice?

Lol, Burmese cats aren't mice slaughterers... get a proper farm cat and they'll get rid of them cute little mice very quickly.

If you really really want a good mouse/rat hunting cat make sure it's parents are good at it

I remember when I was growing up in a lovely lil town in Southland and our cat bringing in mice. Mum would grab us (we were like 4 and 6 or something) and we would hide upstairs in her bedroom, ring dad, and he would come home from work to save us!!

Then when I lived up here my lil cat Blossom bought in a mouse.. we were trying to save it.. Blossom had gotten bored. My friend was trying to catch it and it was cornered.. so he was putting pieces of kindling to make a lil blockade so he couldn't get out. The cute lil mouse was pushing the pieces of kindling back out! He was so cute!! We named him Mr Jingles hehe

Try laying down some poison under the hot water cylinder. They love it there for the warmth.

    According to Ronnie Barker...
All you need is a recording of (Barry Manilow, The Spice Girls, or something of equally bad taste) and a brick.
Simply play the chosen "music" and when the mouse comes out of it's hiding place with its front paws over its ears, sneak up behind it with the brick...

Not according to your siggy....or does that refer to what pops up?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
