    And find the HRC CDI.

What's more fun? Paying someone else or getting your hands dirty?
I had HRC Cdi... Except i withdraw my bid on ebay...which im regretting - $300 for a new (still sealed in its packet) cdi...

I know a guy who has 1 in each of his race bikes which he will be dismantling soon... so am hoping to snap one up soon.

The HRC carbs, dont they still need setting up? so still go to pay to throw the bike on a dyno.

That isn't the HRC carb kit. The HRC carb kit requires air filter removal and airbox mods so stuff that for a road bike. The factorypro kit I would imagine is aimed at those who have removed the stock muffler and now need to compensate further upstream.

Yes, to make it work at it best it need a visit to a dyno and some experienced hands to do it properly.

You can however just follow factorypro's suggested starting point for setup and go from there. Of course it won't be as good, but you'll know your bike better.

From what I understand it 's a bit of a " Black Art" but mainly tunning the Carb's. My torque curve is heaps flatter as well, May be I'll scan the Dyno Sheet an post that???.

MORcs--trust me dude its worth the trouble.
They found similar HP from my zxr race bike by carb tuning and a heapof other stuff they did.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

If you can, scan it and send it to me. I want to compare it to Toms VFR400 which he got dyno tuned and rejetted at the same place.

That could be interesting, i cant wait to hear all the excuses from Tom if it turns out yours has more hp.

    Haha.

its very hard to get 6 hp out of it just by rejetting even with an exhaust and air box he mannaged to get 4hp out of mid range 1hp top end looking at my dyno sheet.. but top end hp should be about 60hpmax.. it takes a fuck load of work to get a fvr to even have 65hp.. if someone with a vfr who just has a loud exhaust and claimes to have it at 70hp hes bullshitting.

If you want power, you're going to have to pay.

There are no such things as cheap power.

It amazes me as to how many knuckle heads Think that they can just plug things in, or bolt them up, and it'll be all good..

The japs desined those motors as a sports bike motor, if you want to get more HP without the sacrifice of reliability, or ridability, Its going to cost.

Either put up with what you have, or spend the friggen money!

Quite Right Tom mine is making just over 60hp an 27 ft-lb's, But before I took it in to Rob at GP it was only making 53.64Hp an 24.92ft-lb, so once he got the bike running perfectly I gained my 6hp

Thats pretty good. But i think it must of need a good tune because if it was pulling only 53hp it obviously had the carbies a little out of balance or something.

I pulled the speedo apart last week, found this brass pin thingy and bent it right back onto itself.

Tested it out last night (private road of course) and twas a success

Did the same last night, just flexed the section of disc that goes between the inductors of the cut-out until it fatigued & broke off. Didn't break anything either!
