I am now the very happy owner of a black Ducati M900S. Unfortunately while with its previous owner some lowlife decided to take out their frustrations with life on Craigs bike and keyed the tank (almost full length and over Ducati decal).

My question is - can this be polished or cut out? The decal looks thick but how deep is the silver on it. The keying does not break the paint (on the tank or the decal) but has left large unsightly "grooves" in it.

Time for a respray? How much and where recommended in Taranaki?
