I'm not sure if plastic is better than fiberglass but for the price, I really don't care.

From my experience plastic is abit more forgiving than fibreglass which is more brittle.

His calculator is showing NZ costs 110 pounds for postage the same as UK etc, wonder if thats just cause he didnt enter a lower figure

Have a look through the Online Trading section for a post about cheap fairings on TradeMe. There was one guy there who was talking about bringing these ones in...I looked into them and finally found a review - could be worth a read, and would at least help you make a better informed decision.
