Like most of us, I like a good titter (pun intended) at the frailties of others. perhaps it makes us feel that no matter how socially inadequate or ugly our souls we are in real life we are at least better than these sad creatures?

I'll admit I did not see the whole thing but frankly I found the programme repugnant. The reporting told me nothing and just quietly took the piss out of these sad people and ridiculed them. Revolting.... Why? Because surely the mass media is partially responsible for the unrealistic expectancy that has blighted these folks efforts to find a real relationship? The dolls were realistic but only if Barbie is your ideal human.

Useless informationless broadcasting designed to generate ratings, make the general populace dumber and more bigotted towards those with problems and ensure they go deeper underground.

bah! I was better off in the garage with me spanner.... Its so shiney - I have 12 of them and I polish them every night and there is a TV crew coming to talk to me about it.....

Yea that was my thoughts they use the word relationship quite freely....but a relationship means INTERACTION with one another - how does she interact exactly??

Stable relationship ? a few people are saying it keeps em off the streets etc...but I don't know...isn't it just one step closer to necraphilia (sp), objectifying people, the Jeffrey Dahmers of the world (specially the guy with the guns)...whats that all about? lucky his chick doesnt talk back. It crept me out how these dolls hang from chains off the ceiling etc ...I mean, practical or not, thats not treating their girlfriends very nicely is it??

I thought the whole thing was rather sad, and more than a bit creepy. A couple of the guys looked like they might be able to make friends with other people (if they got an attitude adjustment), but the ones who thought they were having a relationship were just
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I also noticed these guys' attitudes towards real women and relationships. Some had basically condemned themselves to a life of living with an artificial girlfriend and convinced themselves they didn't deserve a real woman.

What about that guy who had so many he ran out of room to store them? They were crammed in boxes and stored under his bed
Does he think he's being a stud by sleeping around? These dolls are the least of his problems.

HAHAHAHHA I knew there would be a thread about this. Was kinda funny but mostly creepy to watch.
I gave up when the hang gliding guy was complaining that he thought he was a wicked exciting dude and should have girls falling all over him, but in the end he gave up and bought a real doll.

Strange people, I wonder what the incentives were to appear on the doco?

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

What about the guy that was into hang-gliding?? and he took his chick out
    to "watch" him hang-glide?

I mean that would make him half interesting to a women the fact he has a hobby/interests - he has totally underestimated himself. Now that he "goes with" a doll that will creep any potential suitor out (who may have been otherwise interested in him)

It's not the angle of the dangle or the sag of the bag but the throb of the knob that does the job!

On a side note, they're shagging a "woman" who doesn't even move or make any noises. Plus, if these dolls are so heavy it must be extra work making her participate in any sexual activities.

It sounds like a whole lot of bother for little return.

Far out....must try some of that next oil change. Cut down on spool-up time, eh? Especially on these cold winter mornings.
