Did you do anything to it before it wouldn't start, like pull bits off and stick them back on again?

When was the last time you rode it? Did it start ok then?

What sort of scooter is it?

The only reason if it definitely has fuel (now is it getting to the sparky bit or just filling the carb?) and spark is timing that's out or a lack of compression.

    Main prob with sccots...

when U have spark and fuel but still don't wanna go is compression. Not sure re the chink ones, but the jappas cost about $100 for piston and rings and about $60 for re-bore. Just make sure that when they hone the barrel after the re-bore they do use fine stone, as with the corse one she will smoke like crazy for a while.

But U might be outta luck re parts for her. Thats the normal issue with the chinks ones. Sort of use till stops, then throw away and get another one.

    Good Luck.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Set the valve clearances. Its pretty easy, just whip the seat off, and remove the rocker cover. Turn the engine over and set the clearances to about 0.15mm. All these Chinese engines use old beer cans for the valve material, and the clearances vanish really fast. (like 2000km). The engine actually quietens down and seems to run sweet, then gradually they get harder and harder to start until you walk, cos its easier than getting the bastard to run.

Hmm, Kazuma?? Are you sure it's a fourstroke? Like WT sort of said, compression, fuel & relatively well timed spark is all you need to be running. Carb idle jet could be clogged, sparkplug fouled..did you clean it? Aircleaner clogged? How old is the fuel in it? Old fuel will make most bikes hard to start. Ruling out these things and confirming it's a 4T then I'd be diving into valve clearances.
    Insert witticism.

the carb needed a clean and it needs a new auto choke, where do you get those from?

Are you sure it needs a new choke ? Notoriously hard to diagnose a problem with those. If its got a lifan engine (most likely) I can get parts for you. But I have never seen an electric choke fail. If its lean, check the air cleaner has been oiled.
