    Keystone's krashfest kontinues

With high hopes of a great open day followed by an awesome day of racing, Madduck and I headed south to Manfeild. Goal was to work on set up of the bike at the Open day and get a feel for some of the modifications we had done.

These high hopes were quickly trampled after I lost the front going into Splash and landed heavily in lap 4 of my first session of the Open Day...

A quick trip to the A & E revealed a fractured scapula (shouder blade). Now laid up for a few weeks with a sling and pain relief. Thankfully the bike is fine.

Hope to make it back for the September round of the Winter Series.

Thanks to Billy for all his incredible work getting the bike ready for this round, also thanks to GarryH for taking me to the clinic and staying with me. Thanks to Madduck for being my pit crew - sorry we didn't get to try the things we had planned - and thanks for driving the camper home - hope you and Gav make it back in one piece today! My flight home was pretty good!
    Exploring pastures anew...

Heal fast Jill. It was a pity not being able to see out on the track.

Heal quick Jill, always good to read your race reports (hmm, maybe excluding this one!).

Yes very unfortunate you broke the shoulder blade. Front must have let go very suddenly.

After watching the racing I think you had a pretty good chance of getting a top 3 finish. Hope this doesn't keep you off your bike for too long.

Glad to hear that you're semi-OK Jill. I hope that you heal up fast! I left that box of stuff for spankme in your campervan (at least I hope that it was yours!)

Hi Jill, good to see you yesterday, was surprised to hear how long it might be before you're back up and racing again. Hope it doesn't hurt too much! GWS.
