For those that missed it, there is a link at the bottom of my post to a converter which uses to different methodologies to show the effects of wind chill. The bottom one is generally accepted to be more accurate.

any body know how to convert the wind chill factor?

i rode home from work a 6am today with my Revit jacket, shoei XR1000, alpinestar SP1 gloves, gearne boots and a pair of levis at about the speed of 140kmph for about 20mins with my visor open because i couldnt see! There was a frost, well everthing was frozen and so was my bike. the temp was -3c ......... it would be nice to know how cold it was with the wind chill factor, because it took agers to get feeling back in my legs, hands and face.

So based on the formulae* posted up, you were looking at ~ -20 oC. You were in jeans? Good luck with that!

spend all that money on quality jacket/helmet/gloves/boots and then wear jeans with it? expect to freeze ur ass off....

nah i got all the warm wet weather gears just cant be stuffed putting them on for work. look fat in them

Quasi's sports gloves look nice and crash well (so I've heard), but they're not the warmest things. Need to find some of those thermal inner things you wear on the inside.

mmm i got alpinestar drystar gloves which are arsome wetweather thermal glove that are leather. not a bad price either as i remember

approximate temperatures but very close, gives you an idea how cold it gets out there while riding.
Make shure you all have good warm thermals on at this time of year, and ready for any sudden temp change while traveling.
