If you like, I can show you how to do all of the service items. There's a workshop manual on here somewhere with service shedules in it. Won't be this weekend though.

It doesn't matter how much or how little you know about mechanical things, between us I'm sure we can give you the knowledge you seek. From checking tyre pressures and chain tension, through to full engine rebuilds, electrical gremlins, brake overhauls, and everything in between.

I'm offering this to anyone who wants it and can get to my house, all I ask is a contribution into my race account if you gain the knowledge you seek.

I'd prefer one on one sessions to make sure it is specific
It's funny you should mention this.

So is this a long term thing Gav? I've been enjoying fiddling around with my bike as well as riding it. I'd be keen to have a bit of supervision / tricks n tips / things to watch out for in doing oil n filter changes, brake pads and bleeding brakes etc at some stage. Bike is still under warranty but not for much longer.....

Bump... I'm surprised the overzealous mods haven't moved this to PD yet

dont know if your offer applies to off road bikes but I have a suzuki 2 stroke rm250 that needs a rejet. I have been told this is rather easy to cock up, and can easily destroy the motor. would you be able to help me out? thanks

have you had much to do with zxr 250's. I've got one that I'm working on and it is having some high rpm running issues would be great if someone experienced could point me in the right direction instead of testing every possible cause.

I'd rather not rejet it for the very reasons you have described
