Lasik surgery rocks . The wild cracking noises, the smell . The extra laser steadly tracking towards your wedding tackle ..... oh, no , that was another place.
Best body mod since they removed the hump from my back.
Price seems to be climbing. Cost$3200 in 2004.

personally i'd like to see some long term results even before considering lasik. We don't even have short term results, after all it's only been around for about 17 years.

    lolz! omg... best.post.ever...

as for contacts.. i could never wear them, putting things into eyes not a favorite passtime... besides don't really need them, if i dont want to wear my glasses, i take them off, unless i have to read something....

If you can get to the planet Dune, you can pick up some Tleilaxu Eyes
"Frank Herbert uses the idea of these artificial eyes to great effect in various stories, including Dune Messiah. The devices themselves are metallic, almost insectile in appearance."
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Best you look more closely at your work iNDY...

I like being able to see. But I hate wearing glasses. They never sit right in my helmet. I'd prefer contacts. Isn't there a thread or two about that somewhere here? But I can't afford contacts or laser surgery so I guess I'm stuck with the problem.

That's a bit cheap. I never use anything but top quality, I get mine from The Warehouse.

Funny enough, when an eye specialist checked my eyes (and my Warehouse glasses) he said they were within a minute percentage of what my prescription would be anyway.

Now shooting glasses are different, that's serious.

I go through frames regularly whether they cost $400 or $40 so I buy the $40 (proper bend back arms and all) from the chemist and just swap my lenses over. Got my lenses replaced about 6 months ago after 5 years. Just took the frames in and they made them to fit. Similar to the same style of frames you got NH - damn sight cheaper though!

Sometimes, I curse the fact that I have perfect vision...

Some people (or events) would definitely gain from being a bit on the hazy!

I've been thinking I want glasses because they seem to make people look intelligent (and I could do with a bit of that)... but after reading some of the posts about being able to see the hair on your arms... and the dirt... and the pattern on the carpet... i think I'd be too scared to look in the mirror. I suspect I may have aged a little since I last saw myself and I'm frightened I might see [gasp] WRINKLES!!
