My understanding of the accident last year was mechanical failure of the steering of the trike. Alcohol played its part in that a decission was made to head off home in the early hours of the morning. Would the outcome have been different if alcohol was not a factor?

Those around where I camp usually get on the turps Friday night and use the rest of the time to recover before heading off homeAfter what some would have called "having a great time".

Got my ticket in the mail last week so I'm commited. I'm going with an open mind regarding the no BYO. Dont make a fuss about it and we should be ok.

    One week to go!

My ticket's safely in my wallet and the bike is undergoing a few mods to improve its load-carrying ability.

Enjoyed the CK last year, intend to do so again and catch up with a few more KBers

Excellent directions, all male's will understand . Probably loose Goblin with instructions that simple. Women need the GPS coords. And don't forget the weather forecast, so they know what to wear.

FYI: Goblin managed to find us last year at that location. She didn't want to camp near us, tho', can't think why...

And on a Cold Kiwi related note: big ups to Roj who fashioned up a couple of bits of metal into pannier supports for my bike to keep the pannier bags off the hot exhaust.

I've got to put some rubber beading around the edge to protect the pannier straps and get some bungee cords to secure them but the worked fine when I tested them on the way back from his place this afternoon.

It was Roj who modified up an old tail rack so it'd fit on my bike, too, so my bike's now fitted out to carry my gear to the Cold Kiwi properly (rather than a pack bungeed to the seat and rear fender like last year).

    Looks really good.

There's a good reason I didn't camp there and it wasn't you guys. Was too close to the Sulphur City tent and Todd/Stan likes to do some late night plowing on his tractor. I need all the beauty sleep I can get.

To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

cheeky, but not entirely untrue...for most of us. Although I'm sure we biker chicks are mostly exceptions to that rule...

Gawd, it feels like I'm going to be spending my weekend ferreting out all the Kbers...
