At the risk of being called a geek (yeah go on I dare ya)

I created a Google earth (.kmz) file of where i think the location is (6 k west of Waiouru on the Ohakune rd).

So I have uploaded the file... no idea if it is correct or not.

Oh God Stu your SUCH a geek

Na nice one dude, that google earth is a lot of fun. Was checking out my mum & her new hubbies house in London the other day, they were showing me round their neighbourhood, pretty damned cool

Don't think im gunna make this one, me physio said it wasn't a good idea to ride that far, especially after the mammoth ride I did a couple of weeks ago (over 500km's in 6 hours) as im still sore from that one.

But in saying that I might just ignore it, see how I feel Saturday morning
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Guys - I have been in Waiouru all week, up here teaching soldiers about Exchange Server. It is has been raining on and off all week, the ground is pretty wet. So make sure you have good ground cover inside your tent and probably something to put your side-stand on before it sinks gracefully in to the ground.

And a piece of timber about 350mm long to ram under the swingarm from the ground to support the motorcycle from the otherside helps too, incase the wind pops up, or people getting too close.
