Also its not out of cell reception so you can txt other kb'rs to find if theres a kb camp or always meet up beforehand and ride in together.

my cell is 021 47 76 76, i will have a black kb hoodie on see ya there!
Cheers for that. I'll put your cell number in my phone and make sure to keep an eye out for you.

I do remember the thread originator having a little lay down a few years ago and having to be put to bed by fellow KBers

I'll be there this year health permitting. Just look for a deaf bearded ginga on a crappy ol CX 500(well, if it's still "servicable"). Be there Friday night but have to be home for our wedding anniversary Sunday

is anyone taking a trailer down from Auckland/Hamilton? I have a bike I wouldn't mind having a go at the hillclimb on, but it's definitely not roadworthy

Early six cross camp site piccy.
No fancy tents, etc back then. Just free HTFU pills at the entrance. (can't remember if it snowed that year, Green ginger wine has sullied my memory)

    For you first timers...
24hr food on site, Cash is better than EFTPOS (Order a meal if you can they are ok) Bring your own Plate, knife fork spoon etc... Free tea and coffee

12 beers for $20 (last year) Ginger wine? $?? cant drink it but they sell it.

Wear your best thermals buy the end of the weekend they will stink of bonfire smoke but you will have stayed warm during the night, Must wear hat and gloves- boots are a good idea could be muddy.

Most of the tent sites have firewood and a brazier for your own personal fires this is what takes some of the sting out of the nights (great for cooking potatoes in tinfoil for your tea).

Your own bog paper, just in case the portaloo is stuffed... or you can ride out on the Sat to the local petrol station.

Good sleeping bag shitty tent you only stopping the rain and wind, never seen a tent that keeps you warm at a kiwi.

Dont want to say it just in case I jinks it ..... but sun block and shades, even short and a tee shirt for the sat afternoon.

If you got a camera bring it! lots of cool people and things to see.

Bring your but not your game face

Last ~ have a safe ride down and back
