    gxsr 250 cooling problems

    Hi ALL,
My Gsxr is running hot, to the point where all the coolant/ distilled water mix in my reservior tank evaporates and the radiator is left dry. the temp guage doesnt get beyond halfway point and thats when the fan kicks in. when i connect the fan direct to run when the bike is on this helps. what could be the problem. the bike 's previous owner was using tap water as coolant.
    any solutions.

You want to have a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze coolant and distilled water for the cooling system. Give that a try first.

This is probably a bit late because you're selling it but it could be the cap not sealing properly, that would explain it
