NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE. I WAS JUST GRANTED AN EXEMPTION BY THE LTSA SO I CAN RIDE MY 400 ON MY LEARNERS AND RESTRICTED. ;D!



This bike is in good condition for its age. It is a great step up from a 250, it has A LOT more up and go than a 250...

It has just had a new clutch cable, and the carbs balanced on it. Has brand new top of the line front brake pads ( two sets at $45 each ) and the brakes rebuilt. And also new fork seals. Has a brand new warrent and 3 months reg. Gets up and goes well with a top speed of around 200km/h. Has the EXUP exhaust system. Has a strong engine which never fails to impress. I havent owned the bike that long but i need to sell it because I am only on my learners and the police dont really like that.... has got me a few fines ( nothing that can be transfered over to new owner) lol.

Will need a new rear tyre for the next warrent in 6 months.

Has a few dings and scratches but nothing major. Could be restored very easily if you want but it looks fine how it is.

I was seriously planning on keeping this one, but the fines say otherwise. But if it doesn't sell im not really too bothered.

This is the main reason why, despite many tempting bikes on the market at tempting prices, I have not bought myself a bigger machine before I get my full licence. The other reason is I wanna test ride everything before I upgrade, and I can't do that without my piece of plastic with my photo on it changing colour to green. Sure, you might say it's bad luck to be caught and perhaps it is... but they only need to catch you the once and they'll be on the lookout for the bike in the future, so the chances of being caught are much higher after that. Probably quite smart to sell it and move back to a 250.

Bummer about the fines mate, good luck with the sale. It should sell fairly easily at that price.

I had an exemption to ride a 400cc bike on my learners but not this one ( my old one which i have since sold ) and when i got pulled over they fined me because my exemption was for my old bike. So thats $400 down the drain, i even wrote in trying to write my way out of it. Then i got fined again $400 for the same thing but when i got fined that time my new exemption was in the process of being done, and the officer wrote "DIVERSION" on the ticket and told me once my exemption is through i can send my ticket in with a copy of the exemption and i will be let off. He even wished me luck and said he hopes i get let off that fine. He told me to call the LTSA and make them hurry up on getting my exemption changed over to my new bike. So really i only have $400 worth of fines. I am not REALLY keen on selling the bike, but if i get $2200 or over for it i will let it go....

hey man, how do you get an exemption so you can ride a bigger bike? I like the LAMS laws in oz where you can ride a bigger bike with the power restricted an this exemption sounds similer.
