    CBR400 pegs

Arrgh. Can't figure out how to get the footpegs of the aftermarket hangers on HDTBoy's old CBR400. Took out the nylock nut and allen headed bolt and thought it would just drop out. Don't want to damage it. Tried tapping it with a mallet. Also tried gripping it and rotating it but it's not unscrewing anything. Dunno if it's a compression fit or something.

    Anyone got any advice?

    Brute Force and Ignorance.
Pull the shift linkage off, put it onto the top of an open vise with the peg side down, don't tighten the vise. Bash the shit out of it with a hammer
