    Moth maggot invasion of pantry.

My food storage cupbord is invaded with moth maggots. Been this way for over two years now.

Im sick of picking out maggots from my breakfast cereal and snack items.

Anyone got an idea to get rid of them? Its a food area and don't really want to posin myself.

    Our cupbord is clean as.

We had a moth infestation a whiles back, exactly as you mentioned it. Started off with binning all the opened food packets, putting new stuff into those click-clack bins.

Clean out pantry, spray copiusly with long-lasting pestkiller (Black Flag etc) and put mothballs in. Did the trick, haven't seen a bugger in ages!

Go to the warehouse and buy some of those tallish rectangular storer things, you know, the ones you pour your cereal from. Cheap. That's the only way really.
Plus when a girl see your storers, that's good marks towards being a likely relationship success, organised you see.

Maybe try some plastic, sealable containers. You probably already have some food items in these containers, but sealing all food items would be a good start.
In my experience, most insects will vacate warm, safe areas if their food supplies are removed. Or learn to enjoy the extra nourishment that the beasties supply.

Extra protein, why get rid of them?

    1) Insert Borer bomb
    2) close cupboard door and walk away
    3) Come back 2 hours later
    4) EMPTY CUPBOARD
    5) Drive around looking for a skip bin and dump your stuff in it
    6) Start over

You can be subtle and work at it piece by piece if you want... but hell... here's your chance to (kinda) blow stuff up!

I think they are beset with the usual agitators ... hippies trying to convey a peaceful outcome, terroists advocating direct action, the apathetic majority that will just go along with what happens... wait till they start up a jihad with the ants, spiders, huhu bugs and other insect minority groups!

Of course, RM could always put up an electric light zapper ... "nooo! Don't go to the light!"

They're not Moth Maggots ya faggot!

They are weevils, which live in most wheat based foods, like flours, cereals, grains etc. Every time you have a spoon full of cereal, you eat weevils.

If you have a bag of flour that is 2 years old, the weevils are turning into larvae and then they move away from home to grow into adult weevils which then fly away somewhere (sunny weekend in Fiji probably).

Best bet is to go through all the bags of shite you no doubt have in your cupboard and through it out. The problem with flour etc, if you don't cook/bake a lot, then flour can sit around for years, perfect breeding ground for weevils.

TURN THE LIGHTS OUT? the moths won't hang around anymore!

Maybe a combination. Clear out the cupboards and fire bomb the lot. Then start all over
