I did a deal with both my kids. I paid for the course AND I paid them to do it.
The deal was that if they thought it was a waste of time they could keep the bribe, if they thought it worthwhile they give me the money back.
I got both bribes back. You have to reward honesty, I used it to book them into another course 10 years later and gave them the confirmed bookings to keep. Neither have been back yet but both reckon they'll go.
