    Newbie old biker (wingnutt)

    gidday all,
back on two wheels after a 25 year break.
Turned 60 last year, and birthday present was a long held dream, a 1896 Honda Goldwing aspencade GL1200. slowly bringing little things up to scratch.

First ride, I was all over the place, wrong lines, wobbles, brakes, lol, even lifted front wheel at one stage, worked myself into a hellava lather, I wondered what I was thinking, when brought it for a while.

But now its a wonderful pleasure again to be back on two wheels, ride most days, and am looking forward to few long trips.

    great reading in this forum

    cheers.

Welcome. Gosh, lifting a Goldwing front wheel. That would have been a sight to see.
You'll fit in well with the rest of us 'returned to biking' oldies in here.

Welcome from someone who hits 6 decades this year Reckon you'll shed a couple of them with your return to bikes! Old bodies don't bounce too well though but what a way to go

Shit Wingnutt 1896 really is an old bike for a Honda so I guess you have a big job there sourcing parts!

Hey, I ride like that all the time and that is after the lessons too!

Welcome to KB, all you need here is a love of bikes and you find friends right across the speed range.

Age is only as big a problem as we make it!

Great people on KB! Enjoy. Cheers John.
