To stop the sleepy sickness prevelent in parliament, perhaps Helen could call for a mass debate, now and then.![]()
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
lol....and if you've never played golf, my advice to you is never start. C*nt of a game. But that's what makes you keep going back.
There's somethig strangely satisfying about belting shit out of golf balls though.....especially when you start hitting them where you want them to go.
I expect some civility and good manners. I also expect them to be alert when they are in Parliment as our representatives. Anything less is an insult to me as their employer. This photo ban is just an excuse for their continued bad manners to each other and 'skiving' on the job.

ok, I didnt explain a bit. During question time, its pretty straight forward. Each minister gets asked set questions. They know what the basic structure of questions are before they get there. So say the minister of walnuts knows he needs to be in the chamber, but also knows that none of the questions relate to his ministry...it doesnt matter if he is awake or not, as long as someone wakes him for the vote....not that that matters any more as that is only counted on how many people are seated rather than the ol ayes or nays bizzo. When a question is asked, a (hopefully) researched question is returned, then next question, then next answer...bla.bla.bla. Its debating and hopefully means that the govt is on its toes. BUT, poor old minister of walnuts is sitting there having to listed to a bunch of questions to minister of grapefruit, and then the minister of testicles and so on and so on....I'm not going to hold it against him to snooze as long as he's on the ball when the opposition wants to asks about the current batch of micronutrient chlorosis.

They are employees. OUR employees...
With the amount of businesses now having cameras installed in their workplaces to monitor their staff, there is no problem showing to the world the level of intelligence being displayed by our leaders.
Gagging the media is another step towards dictatorship.
The media are allowed to report the facts. Hopefully they will show items like "Here is Parekura (who ate all the pies?) Horomia fast asleep in Parliament. In other news tonight...." (Not anything other than a stated fact!).
TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
FUCK, good luck to anyone who knows or even remembers when the media gave a flying fuck about facts.
If they're reporting on someone sleeping its because they cant be arsed reporting on debated questions such as "how many people have slipped through our border controls and what are we doing about them?" The media are being told to do something because they can no longer be trusted to act responsibly
