A few pics from my ride today (19/05)

    Hey
Excuse the quality, but thats phones for you

Was a nice day out, it started to spit slightly around 3:30, but then cleared up for the rest of the day It was great to see so many KB'ers out, that I knew anyway. I'm sure there were many more I didn't know, which is why I'm looking forward to getting my KB t-shirt If I'm wearing it, come and say hi :spudwave:

First 3 pics : At the top of the Taka's. Notice JazBug5 seems to be fighting a loosing battle with her Jacket
JazBug5's Suzuki GN250 has a special relationship with red traffic lights

Last 4 pics : At Martinborough square/Flying Fish. Notice the Ducati monster, there's just NO escaping some people

In pic 5, this random rider didn't seem pleased that I took a picture with him in it :sly:

Well, come on summer, we're waiting for many good weekends to come!

Cheers, Velox & Lynda (and especially to Stonechucker for being my very patient hill 'mentor')

I had great time yesterday, and it certainly works on your cornering, eh? Now if I can just get the hang of staying in my own lane all the time, I think it's going to be fiiiiiine ...

or you'll have to change your name to JazBugSPLAT(on_someone's_windshield)5

But , you did great, so you'll be a seasoned pro in no time. When you are, please wait for me, I hate being left behind

Looks like you guys had a great day I'd sure like to do the Takas in the dry. Went for a bit of a ride myself I did saturday, left in the sunshine came home drenched after four springs showers. Only saw two other bikes on the BOP roads they must have known what I didn't. Great ride though, its good to get out anytime ay.

Yes.. Nice to see you all up there Lynda, Hamish, Jazbug5 and Stone chucker)

I was with KB'r BisFree on his Yamaha... Wot a great day for a ride but a bit brisk on the way home to Kapiti.

My god! I think everyone that owns a bike (and apparently lots do) was out on it. I've never seen so many new / flash lookin' bikes.. makes me feel a bit undergunned!

I should have bought a bike shop last year I reckon! Still.. I had so much fun on da Guzzi, I think I'll wait another year.... Or 2...

Tons of cyclists out there too... Thousands (well hundreds then) having a race of some sort by the looks of it... No signs out and i try to be patient but I really, really have to try to be patient as some of these people are utter wankers... NO! I don't need a lecture on how inconsiderate car drivers are to cyclists, I've been there done that! How ever... SOME (stress some) of these people think they have the right to race on public roads on a flimsy vehicle with no lights, mirrors, indicators or decent brakes? Then they get all antsy because people are trying to pass them?? You'd have to be nuts to ride like that with total disregard to anyone else (5 or 6 abreast) through judgeford on a sunday?? Oh well! if people have a death wish.. So be it, we should do everything we can to help!

I wonder what would happen if I organised a race for mopeds? I wonder if I would get permission??
