Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
We pay there wages, we should be able to see whatever they do in that house,
I've got a whole heap better things to worry about than someone doing the fingers to someone else across the chamber. The important stuff is recorded, and if I want a laugh I'll go and watch a comedy rather than waiting for a politician to fall over or make an arse of themselves.
And I'm all for telling the press to pull their heads in. Thats not hiding the truth, but reporting it in such a way that is responsible, i.e. getting the facts.
I think if the press stopped being sensationalists and reporting half truths (or lies) they wouldnt be getting a smack. The fuckers have a large amount to answer for so I'll not be taking their side today. The concept of freedom of speech is one thing, but when to tosser with the microphone is an arse, we should also recognise freedom of kicking his teeth in![]()

I agree with Temp.
The media do report with half facts etc, look no further then the 'power cut' death bullshit.

There was a story in the Dom Post the other day about a guy that lost his job, for sleeping on the job. He claimed (Tui) he was stretching his back.
Seeing as his appeal was thrown out (and fair enough too), I'd like the MP's that sleep when they should be doing their jobs sacked as well. After all....I'm paying part of their salary.
"There must be a one-to-one correspondence between left and right parentheses, with each left parenthesis to the left of its corresponding right parenthesis."
Yeah? What time do you get to work? and What time do you go home? have you contemplated why they are asleep? These guys work very long hours and generally 24/7. And when its question time, they all have to show up so what better time for a snooze if you dont have to answer any questions? Being a politician isnt yer average 9-5 deal so while I expect them to act polically professional, I understand why they do what they do....most of the time
Really, that easy eh? Like I said above, their jobs are a little different to ours. And act like everyone else? There's a few people I wouldnt like them acting like!
As long as the media reports evenly on the politicians then I'm happy. If they do something illegal then I'd want to know about it. If they pulling he fingers a someone, or sleeping in the chamber at question time, I couldnt give a rats arse.
Whenever there's something in the news, remember to ask yourself "why is this being reported?" You may start seeing things you hadnt seen before. Alternatively, soak up all the bullshit and live whinging.

I work six days a week- (and have done for the last 21 years) from 8 til 5.30 Mon to Fri with a 1/2 hour break for lunch. And I work from 9 till 3 every Sat without a break. I'm avail for my customers (they all have my after hours number)24/7, and get calls at all sorts of hours. I also play pretty hard seeing as I have limited time to do so and stay up till all hours watching things like Moto GP etc. I don't sleep in Sundays as I'm a keen golfer.....so yeah, I work long hard hours. So fucking what? If I slept at work, I'd loose my job. AND, I'm not paid $200,000 a year either.
Poor politicians....working so hard they've gotta have a snooze.
Analogy:
You fall off your bike doing a slow turn in the supermarket carpark.
1) Your mate takes a photo and shows your workmates at lunch
2) From that day on, whenever your name is mentioned, that unflattering photo is shown.
Item '1)' is news and is reportable
Item '2)' is showing the photo out of context and not fair to you.
That is what they're pissed off about.
I have no problem with the media reporting when an MP does something embarrasing at the time they do it, and if it is newsworthy. I have a problem with the media using that image over and over again and out of context to make that MP look silly.
Grow older but never grow up
Some MP's don't need the media to lampoon them - they manage to do this all on their lonesomes.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
