    Don't you forget about me

    The Breakfast club

    Good movie YAY? or NAY?

    you have your say...

personally, i think it's an excellent movie, VERY relevant to teenage life whatever decade you look at.
not only that, but it's entertaining 80's goodness...

    Thumbs up huge yayy!!!

Having gone through a similar experience for getting caught with firecrackers at a school independence day parade, I get that sense of nostalgia. I guess ministers may not have been pleased with something that sounds like gun shots going off....... though it seemed cool when I was 9yrs old......... and I only wanted to scare the girls.

It also reminds me of that time in life when you realise that people are just people and have as many good and bad points as the next person, be they a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess or a criminal.

Never saw the movie - never will.
    Saw Simple Minds Twice.

    God gave me travelling shoes,
God gave me the wanderer's eye,
God gave two gold coins to help me to the other side.
He then turned around and said - be careful how the small things grow,
When God gives you travelling shoes,
You know that it is time to go.
    Home,
    Home,
    Home.

He then sent in the ship at night,
And it took me to a hidden port.
Slipped me the key at last,
To open up my prison door.
    Gave me blackbird's wings,
    Gifted me with beggar's eyes.
But when God sends in the jackals,
You know that it is time to say bye, bye, bye.
    So I'm going home.

    Home,
    Home,
    Home,
    Home,
    Home.

So God gave me travelling shoes,
    Gave me one last reprieve.
    He then gave me hunger,
Denying me the air to breath.
    Not even one small case,
    Not even one last goodbye.
But God gave me travelling shoes,
And without them I would surely die,
    So I'm going home.

    Home,
    Home,
    Home,
    Home

It's a movie for teens that will probably only make a real impression if you are a teen and going through whatever it is "young people" go through.

Sleep is over rated. I'm writing dribble about motorbikes and eating hummus and rice crackers.

Oh I loved that one! Boys on an adventure. The Gods Must Be Crazy has gotta be my all time favourite though.

I was a teenager in the eighties and I loved the movie at the time.

We all thought that 'the man' was trying to hold us down, and that was the main theme of the film, so we all identified with it.

The Simple Minds track was a biggie at the time, but the theme of the eighties for me was a wee track by the Beastie Boys.......You gotta fight, for ya right, to parrrrttttaaaayy.

hahaha.. no... this is not indy generated i'm afraid my darling

but yeah, i was just awake, and thinking about little mvies that i can never ghet enough of, the ones that kind of stick with you... even though i was but a twinkle when this one was created, it still is one of those good old beer and pizza movies...

another one i like is sixteen candles, that one is basically "the life of a teenage girl 101"

adding to that, a rather entertaining film has got to be weird science... lol.. "the life of a teenage boy with a twist 101"

and last but not least... risky business... cant go past that movie if you're thinking 80s teen flicks...
