I wondered why Waylander was so quiet.

I got my first real six-string
    Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it 'til my fingers bled
    Was summer of '69
Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
    Jimmy quit Jody got married
I shoulda known we'd never get far
Oh when I look back now
The summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah - I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life.

grumpy... where you headed? i spent 6 months there in 04. [actually, this day, that year! yeeha!] and saw a moose from the road... huge sucker. didnt see any bears or eagles. i suspect youd have to take a train trip or go to a zoo. closest i got to any wild animals was chipmunks... and they were half tame. saw some cute squirrels in a park in moosejaw. they were wild, but still cute.

i was based mainly in central ontario, but spent 6 weeks in sask. awesome country. flying back to ontario, the frozen ponds scattered across sask looked like shards of a broken mirror.

i cant really recommend any one place to visit... i remember places for the people i was there with. the places id dearly love to go back to, no one else would be able to find.
just thinking, the CN tower in toronto is a must, i guess, and of course, niagara falls. you can walk across the bridge that joins up with new york state. id imagine youd get some awesome photos! the maid of the mist is the boat there... takes you right up alongside the fall. if you go there on a weekend, i think they have fireworks. and the falls are all lit up at night. very pretty.

theres a few lovely waterfalls around georgian bay. its in "grey-bruce county" if you are going by road/driving. i *think* theres a tour, but not sure. theres also lots of scenic bicycle tracks in that same county, where there used to be railroad tracks. i think i read that they span the whole country.

have a great trip, and take lots of photos. its a beautiful place, and i regret leaving more than anything.

the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.
