Fark yeah, luv that retro paint job, bit of a bargain really, isnt it, well until you need tyres. Wonder if Don has any 16.5" s in stock?
But really, its less than $32K NZ, what would freight be? $2K?
What does it cost to build a competitive superbike in NZ? $50K?

Good point, so you could flog that stuff off on ebay and the bike would owe you even less!
Or just run it in clubmans!

When I was working in Japan in 2000 there was a brand new one for sale at one of the local stores! Never started. 5 million yen as I recall. Then on a day trip to Tokyo I saw one parked on the street in Ueno, only a front disc lock and a bald rear tyre!!!!

    Sweet!!

That will be Gav, he gets all excited & confuses his fingers with his toes & the maths goes out the window.

Yeah might consider an Aprilia 500. At least then you could race it in bears. Couldn't race an NSR500 in anything apart from clubmans. Maybe F1 at club events? Would look good on the coffee table in the lounge though.

Different bike -- he's talking about the $US25K CBR1000 superbike OAB posted about on page 1 and Gav posted a picture of.

I'd like to try my morning commute on the NSR. I'm pretty sure I could shave a few tenths off my Newmarket Viaduct lanesplitting run.
