Does your mechanic have a job or a passion?

3 weeks ago 86 and I went to pick up my bike from having a service and some blings added

Being the first time I have Used Triple Fourensics for a service like many others who leave there bike with a new Machanic you hope that your baby is being well looked after

Honestly I had under esitmated how well my bike would be looked after..
Most place's give you a invoice and a large smile once you hand over the cash

kerry at Triple fourensics is different he is I believe truley passionate about what he does for the time he had my bike he was always intouch with me by either txt, email,or a phone calls so I always knew what was happening

Not only did I get a invoice which was detailed I also got a more detailed work sheet photo's included I thought WOW this is good then he gave me a CD rom with over 270 photo's on it plus video footage

and the bike was so well groomed when I picked her up it looked brand new even fooled the cops that pulled us over in wanganui at 2am but guess a brand new looking bike on a trailer at that time of day would look suspic

we were given dinner by kerry and his wife and we spend 3 hours there while kerry explained the service and new mapping options for the bike later on

I really cant say enough about the service and will remain using kerry

As for the bill some of you are asking how much well it was just over $1000 the labour was billed at 6 hours @ 40/hr plus GST bloody good value I think

    Great stuff 'dogs.
I wish i could find that sort of service in my area.
as a garage owner, i have tended to do all my own servicing until i bought the RSV because i thought id earned the luxury of not needing to know how it worked.
Got my first service a few weeks back from the shop i bought my bike off, plus two new tyres.
Apart from damaging the coating on both the Aprilia Racing titanium pipes & knocking a chip of paint of the tailpiece, there were things detailed on the invoice that i dont believe actually happened, such as "lubricate & ajust brake cables" (Believe it or not, an RSVR has hydraulic brakes & clutch too!!) "Ajust clutch cable" "Top up batterey" (Gel batterey) & so on.
I phoned the owner of the shop 6 weeks ago, who said he would look into it & get back to me, & have heard nothing yet, & all ive got so far is an abusive txt from the service manager for dobbing him in about it.
Lucky im a calm sort of guy.
Good to see the kind of service i can only dream of actually exists.
Hows the 500 getting on Dogs?

yes thats the problem with qiuck fire servicing..Kerry was doing a Aprilia when I picked my bike up and he does have customers from the BOP too..Next job on the 955 is unlocking the computer

As for the 500 with shifting house and waiting for parts nothing has happened so wont to get stuck into it next time I am home now I all the parts next thing will be too seek out rubber bushes for the engine mounts and new foots pegs get the tank re welded so nothing too major just a time factor

and how is that 125 going Bob in the lounge yet?

Oh I am planning a trip to Tauranga on friday so will swing by if your town

I hope you told the owner about that too.

    Sounds pretty shocking.

I thought my mechanic had cracked the plastic around my tail light ... until I found the matching dent on my car where I'd dropped the bike (and thought I'd saved it; the point where it hit was behind me)

Its a bit hard when i was at school as a 9 year old with the mechanic.
I think his problems are probably far greater than mine, so i shall leave him be.
The shop shall also go un named.

    One word

Service, small town and need to give that majical option, mind you the prices for land in Opunake his rent won't be cheap, also if he can charge a smaller hourly rate and get enough work it's a win win situation, one thing though it's Mt Egmont for most nakians,is he just round the corner from the pub.

Choice. I'm in Palmerston North - so Opunake isn't out of the question. Very handy to know about this.

If I hadn't seen this service with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. That night was motorcycle heaven as far as I was concerned.

Kerry is God's gift to Triumph owners as his knowlege and passion is rare. He's got a great workshop and all the computer diagnostic gear, and he knows exactly how to use it all.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing as he took us inside the heart of the bike on a PC screen. His attention to detail is phenomenal and he tells you straight up what needs doing or what will need doing in the future. I was amazed as he pointed out errors made by previous mechanics and the very fucking real damage that can be done by someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

And the worst thing is is that in many cases you won't know that any damage has been done until quite some time down the track when it's too late to do anything about it except fork out for some major repairs.

I'd liken Kerry to an expert surgeon so if you want quality, he's your man. He's primarily a Triumph specialist, but if you're really lucky he may work on other makes, European mostly. You'll have to convince him though. And his wife makes a mean Spaghetti

Thumbs up The best advertisning there is.

Word of mouth. And it is clear the guy deserves it. As a result of this here I would expect he gets a handful of more regulars.

    Brilliant!!

May the bridges I burn light the way.
