    Streetstock 150 rules

Was wondering if somebody could give me a link to were i could find a full set of rules and regulations for this class.

As my current ride is an rg150e and i just completed my 1st track day and absolutely loved it so i see this as the next logical step for me although i am have trouble finding rules. have tried http://www.mnz.co.nz/competitionrules.aspx but couldn't find what i was after.

plan on stripping the bike down repainting it and giving it new piston, rings and a general freshen up and racing in taupo on i think it is 13th of october. but wana make sure everything is legit.

so yea basically a link to full regulations would be great.

    cheers

Hey mate, I looked at that page, and they do have the Streetstock 150 rules listed inside another file. Click on `Chapter 22 - Road Racing', and the section 22-12 covers Streetstock (it's on page 5). Good luck -- would love to get involved in this if I get a higher paying job.

This applies for both the vic series and the pacific series pretty much.

get into it dude. but you dont need a flashy paint job and perfect compression to race competitively. the most improvement you will see is from track time and thinking about your riding and the track.

the 1st step is to join a MC club and then get your MC motorsport licence.

    .

hey cheers for that, thaught i had gone through that one but must have been half asleep.

yea bike has currently been fitted with tt900's but the previous owner always left it outside so could do with the frame painting etc so will be pulling it apart and while i'm there i might aswel rebuild the motor and do afew other things to make sure it's running A1.

    cheers.

    - BEN welcome to Streetstock
Suggest you get in touch with AJTURBO. He can help you out up there.
Streetstock in the South Island has had rapid growth recently, soon we will top 100 bikes on our "register". At the Nationals year before last we ran Streetstock as a support / demo class, as we did the last one too (46 on the grid!) At those first Nationals the MNZ Steward was concerned how "light" the rules were and advised that the rules be "tidied up" not so much rewritten, but clarified. This was all done, South Island clubs, Vic Club contributed too. It was all OK with the Board member, Road, and the Road Race commissioner, but it missed the cutoff for July 1st 2006, so it was carried over till July1st 2007. Down here we got Supp Rules to cover us at major events thru till this new date. During this year there's been a lot of fuss, but virtually nil consultation, and now the new rules are posted up.
They're absolutely chock full of problems. We've pointed these out, and verbally, the President has promised a review and extension of the current rules. We still await this officially.
Not flash, but that's where it's at.

hey ajturbo, will be out as soon as possible if i can make a round earlier than taupo you bet ya i'll be out there!

am 19, rode down to recent track day but found myself hold back just a little because of fear of not being able to ride home (not much though... still had plenty of "moments"). and also with the winter weather it is abit rough riding to manfeild and back in the rain....

will saught membership to ammc, getting a trailer (have an old one linned up from a mate that i'll add to abit) then sus race liscene and head down.

thanks for the response guys, even at the trackday i noticed that it is a great scene to get into and everyone seems more than helpful.
