    Tyres for a 2004 yzfr6

G'Day folks, just scored myself a minter 04 for 'eff all, & the Dunlop Qualifiers need replacing...so what do you reckon I should look at getting for it? Will spend most of the time fanging down the Buller gorge with longer trips thrown in, the odd track day too....I am more inclined to a sport touring tyre for longevity. This is my first "flash" bike though I have thrashed my Bros 650 for years & have found Pilot actives perfect for that , but realize Im into new territory now & would appreciate advice...cheers

This is my reply SPECIFIC to this time of year
I'd suggest Michelin pilot Power roads
Its too cold/wet in my opinion for a "stickier" race type tyre to work propperly

Got to agree with KF, the PP's worked perfect in the cold wet conditions on Sundays ride. Solid as a Rock!

    HU??--Umisn't that what I just said??--Use PP's
By stickier I was refering to the more race orientrated type tyres such as the metzler racetec normally suggested

Due to pointed edge design on the front tyre they wear out pretty unevenly giving you flat spots along the middle.

Standard Powers rock puddytat - best wet tyre out there for the $600 sort of money.
