Fear not things shall progress in much the same way, with a focus of sharpening the skills we all need to stay alive whilst in pursuit of the favourite corner.....

Sadly not there are these crazy things called straights and these moving cones often referred to as cars / trucks / cages et al.

The focus this week will be on the relationship between your throttle and your cornering.
Once every one has this under control we will move on to one of the most fun moments in motorcyling, the transition. (For those that do not know what I mean, this is moving from one turn to another without a straight - transitioning from a left lean to a right lean or vise versa.)

If time or talent allows we will move on to a slightly more challenging version of the later.
Are we doing this down Riverhead-Coatesville?

    Tis an excellent idea.

You cant practice cornerning and transistions in a carpark... you actually need corners

Unless there is any serious objections the ride will continue to be a carpark excercise however once everyone has succeeded at the first two excercises putting this into practice will certainly be in order.

    Yes.
Still meet out west, going to Albany and making use of practice areas available to us.

This week however I expect us to spend at least an hour on the roads.

Most of us are aware of the reason Mack will not be attending.

Would those that have appreciated his efforts over the last 9-10 months with this great evening please take the time to look at http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...&day=2007-8-12.

Dan can you past it to all the other AWNMR threads you Keep putting up?

this looks really cool, and you guys are awesome for arranging this for us noobs.

I'm at the level where I can start but haven't gotten out of my street due to being in a very busy area.

If anyone is free tomorrow, and wants to give me a hand to get started, I would REALLLY appreciate a ride out of my area to a safe place to practice- ie: pillion on my bike.

If there's somewhere near your home and you have things to do in the house, you can come over and leave your bike at my place, take me to the spot near yours, then when you're ready come and tell me and we'll come back to my house (where your bike is), then you can go home. I'm broke now, but I'll owe a box of quality beer to anyone who can do this for me.

This would give me the practice I need to get on the road in traffic instead of just going down my street and walking it back, thinking I'll die if I go any further. I'm surrounded by busy roads, in case you're wondering.

    I'm in Newmarket anyway, cell number 021 674 246.

Name's Lee, most friends call me Deviant.

    Cheers to all!

    Suggestions, calling all suggestions!
I have some vague ideas for tommorow but if you have anything in specific then speak now or forever hold your peace - or at least until next week.
